“You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.”
If we need a revival anywhere it is in the home because the desire to maintain a family and be a mother in this generation is a low priority. Unfortunately, the state of the church is in direct proportion to the quality of the life we live in private. If revival breaks out in our families the church of God will be set ablaze! The present feminist movement, which is shrouded in over achievement, has desecrated the role of a mother and made it look like a menial inconsequential mission. There is no better way to advance the Kingdom of God than raising righteous God fearing children in a God-fearing family. I am a staunch advocate of Titus 2:4-5, “…Train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.”
There is absolutely nothing wrong with women being successful in the corporate world, but not at all costs. The Proverbs 31 woman was successful and shrewd in business. She had her hand in real estate, imports, exports, philanthropy, fashion, merchandising and investments. But the heart of her husband safely trusted in her and her children rose up and called her blessed. Her home ran like a well oiled cog. John Wooden, one of the most successful coaches in college basketball history, was quoted saying, “We are so busy making a living that we forget to make a life.”
My mission and undying quest is to encourage the body of Christ especially women to pursue Christ like character as a mother, wife, and friend of God. I read the poem below that is worth repeating:
An obedient woman empowers a man
A rebellious woman grieves a man
A contentious woman abuses a man
A Holy woman covers the holes of a man
A peaceful woman abides honestly with a man
A selfish woman betrays the gift of a man
A greedy woman fights the position of a man
A wicked woman deceives a man
A lustful woman ensnares a man
A prayerful woman quickens a man
A loyal woman stands beside a royal man
A virtuous woman protects the integrity of a man
A honorable woman doesn’t given into any man
A faithful woman supports the vision of a man
A self-controlled woman gains the favor of a man
A double minded women has nothing for a man
But it is the Godly kind of woman in submission who makes for her a real and loving man.
