Offense is one of the covert ways the enemy keeps you bound to your past; it makes you a victim. It is a trap that initiates a negative relationship cycle in your life. I sense you are in a season of great transition and progress. You have been hurt, offended, rejected and ignored but you can’t handle this attack like you did the last one. Deal with it and settle the score swiftly, there is too much at stake, you have worked to hard and you have come to far. Psalms 119:165 says, "Great peace have them that love God’s law, commandments and statues; absolutely nothing shall offend them or cause them to stumble."
The objective of the enemy in this season is to get you to internalize this attack and take it personal. You must handle this one swiftly or you will give the enemy legal right to sow destructive seeds, roots of bitterness, rejection, doubt, and un-forgiveness into your life, which can take years to discover or get rid of. The purpose of an offense is to cause you to lose faith, tempt you to sin, knock you off course, make you lose sight of your goal, or cause you to take a route you wouldn’t take under normal circumstances.
Your counterattack is to PRESS, PRAISE AND PRAY! Don’t allow the enemy to encroach on your territory or rob you of your progress. God has promised you hazard pay! Isaiah 61:7 says, “Because you got a double dose of trouble and more than your share of contempt, Your inheritance in the land will be doubled and your joy will go on forever."
